Excitement among the fans was visible on social media as soon as the producer revealed the suspense film's third chapter.

At the Mazhavil Entertainment Awards on Saturday, Perumbavoor revealed the third instalment of the popular crime thriller film franchise starring Mohanlal. The moment he announced it, Mohanlal's fans rejoiced and the hashtag "Drishyam 3" quickly went viral. Manobala Vijayabalan, a trade specialist, also tweeted to confirm the information. Following the film's enormous popularity, the producers announced a sequel for the thriller Malayalam film.
