Rakshit Shetty confirms sequel to his hit rom-com Kirik Party

Helmed by Rishab Shetty, Kirik Party is a 2016 romantic comedy film, which is considered one of the most successful films in Kannada. It featured Rashmika Mandanna, Samyuktha Hegde, and Achyuth Kumar in key roles. Recently, the makers of the film have confirmed its sequel.

Rakshit Shetty, the producer for the first part revealed, “Yes, we will start work on Kirik Party 2 after Richard Anthony. I am writing the sequel right now in my head, and I will soon put it on paper. It’s a film with the same characters and we will be taking a 10-year leap in the story.”

On the work front, Rakshit Shetty is currently pumped up for the release of his much-hyped film 777 Charlie. The film showcases a heart-touching story between a dog and a man.

Rakshit was asked about the hurdles while shooting with a dog during the interview. To which he replied, “When you are acting with another human, it’s always a give and take. Acting is nothing but reacting, but Charlie is not acting, he is just giving a few takes based on what he is taught. Luckily, I had workshops with Charlie before every schedule. We were together for 7 to 10 days before the shoot and that made things easy.”

777 Charlie is slated to release on June 10.
