Amid film success, filmmaker SS Rajamouli passes a very big statement, his award-winning film RRR is not a Bollywood film. He recently spoke at a film screening with the Directors Guild of America. The film RRR stars Ram Charan and Jr NTR in the lead role. The film's storyline tells of the fearless warrior from the pre-independence of India.

Words shared by SS Rajamouli at the screening of the film: -

Rajamouli said, "RRR is not a Bollywood film, it is a Telugu film from the south of India where I come from, but I use the song to move the story forward rather than stopping the film and giving you a piece of music and dance," Rajamouli was quoted as saying by Republicworld.com. "I use those elements to move the story forward… If you say I didn't feel like it was three hours at the end of the film, then I know I am a successful filmmaker."

The song 'Naatu Naatu' has won the award at the 80th Golden Globe: -

Most recently, Naatu Naatu, the foot-tapping hit song from RRR film, has marked history by winning a Best Original Song (Motion Picture) award at the 80th Golden Globes. It celebrates the spirit of dance and the friendship among Ram Charan and Jr NTR's characters in the film RRR. The song has beat out competition, like Tylor Swift, Rihanna and Lady Gaga, to mark its win at the Golden Globes.

Naatu Naatu has been selected for the Original Song category for the 95th Academy Awards. At that time, Ram Charan said if the film won the Oscar, he and Jr NTR would dance on stage. The music for the Telugu track Naatu Naatu is composed by music director MM Keeravani. Kala Bhairava and Rahul Sipligunj sung the song.
