Monster, Mohanlal's most recent film, is already in theatres. The action-thriller movie stars Mohanlal in a brand-new role, yet reviews for the movie have been conflicting. The Malayalam superstar is now poised to take his career on an entirely different path because he has some pretty exciting projects in the works. The seasoned actor is currently going through a challenging time in his acting career as a result of the back-to-back box office failures of his most recent theatrical films, Aaraattu and Monster. However, the completed actor is now ready to enter a new phase of his profession. The main attraction in the Malayalam cinema industry, Mohanlal, is now on a signing binge. The star has an extensive schedule of highly anticipated movies, which will celebrate his major collaboration with a few of the biggest filmmakers of the South.

Finally, Mohanlal will work on a commercial comedy with one of the best filmmakers in the business, Lijo Jose Pellissery who also directed the critically acclaimed film Kumbalangi Nights. If the speculations are to be accepted, Mohanlal plays an elderly wrestler named Chembothu Simon in the film. Two days back, the actor announced the same on his Twitter.

L2 Empuraan
In Lucifer, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Mohanlal, Vivek Oberoi, and Manju Warrier played the lead roles. Lucifer had huge commercial success. By the first half of 2023, production on the follow-up project, L2: Empuraan, is anticipated to begin. In the film, which is directed by Antony Perumbavoor and written by Murali Gopy under the banner of Aashirvad Cinemas, Mohanlal will return as the well-known character Stephen Nedumpilly L2: Empuraan is currently in the pre-production stages.

Alone
The second week of December this year will see the release of Alone in theatres. Mohanlal and senior filmmaker Shaji Kailas reunite in the film, which is billed as a one-artist production, after a protracted absence. The UN employee Kalidas is portrayed by the entire actor in the film, which is apparently an unusual thriller.

Drishyam 3
Mohanlal and Jeethu Joseph will reunite for the third and concluding Drishyam film, according to the official announcement by producer Antony Perumbavoor. The star will reprise his role as George Kutty in the film, which is allegedly titled Drishyam 3: The Conclusion.
Ram
According to reports, the film, in which the actor plays the title role of Ram Mohan IPS, centers on a string of murders that take place around the globe. Two parts of the film, which stars Trisha Krishnan as the title character, will be released.
Barroz (3D)
With the highly anticipated 3D fantasy movie Barroz, the actor is ready to make his directorial debut. Due to the pandemic, the movie, which was scheduled to begin production in 2020, was postponed. Barroz's filming schedule included a trip to Goa, which was completed in August of this year. Currently, the crew is working on the CGI and VFX for the movie, which is expected to be released in theatres in 2023.
