In the most recent episode of the programme, Bigg Boss played a clip of Sumbul Touqeer speaking on the phone with his father, Touqeer Khan, in which Touqeer is heard disparaging Tina Dutta. After the video was over, Tina became quite upset with Sumbul's father.

Then furiously Tina got into an argument with Sumbul Touqeer and started accusing her of being near them despite her father's warnings not to. Shiv Thakare, on the other hand, broke up the altercation and acted responsibly. Even after the fight, he managed to calm Sumbul down and explain what she needed to do. He instructed Sumbul to beg Bigg Boss to move her to room 6.

Fans of Shiv and Sumbul have praised both his approach to the problem and the latter's kind gesture.
