They haven't split up, Karan Kundra said in an interview with India Today, and his tweet had nothing to do with Tejasswi Prakash. He claimed to have written the poetry line after hearing it on the radio. He claimed he wouldn't even write something similar for his ex. He reportedly said, "If I write any poetic message, it is because I want to share it. I listened to it on the radio and wrote it. This has no relation to Teju (Tejasswi). Why will there be? She is my girlfriend. I will not write even for my ex."

Karan Kundrra also discussed how to respond to their social media posts. Every time Tejasswi Prakash posts something on social media, he claims that thousands of followers message him wondering why he didn't like it. He stated, "It's very interesting because life is not all about social media. People just come up with their own conclusions."
