Priyal Mahajan and Amar Upadhyay react to rumours of Molkki going off-air

Rumours have been rife lately that Colors’ popular show Molkki is going off-air. Produced by Ekta Kapoor under Balaji Telefilms, the daily soap went on air on 16th November, 2020, and caught audiences’ attention for its distinct storyline and powerful performances from Priyal Mahajan and Amar Upadhyay who front the lead cast.

While several media outlets have reported that Colors is pulling the plug on Molkki, Mahajan and Upadhyay state that they have not received any intimation either from the makers or the channel about the show going off-air.

“There are a lot of rumours that Molkki is going off-air but we have not gotten any heads up as yet, so I have no idea and no clue about it. Since a long time, this has been going on and we are all attached to the show. If it happens too, I know there is a long journey ahead and it will take some time for us to stop talking about it enough. It is my first show as a lead, so I will feel about it but I think everyone moves on with life,” Priyal Mahajan tells a publication.

Amar Upadhyay told a leading daily, “I have not been officially informed by the makers about the show going off air, but I have heard this news from the unit members. Our creative head had come to the set on my off day and announced that by February or March, the show might go off air. Since the channel or the production team have not officially informed me yet, all I can say is that maybe our show has a couple of months left, but I cannot confirm the same right now. Let the channel confirm this first.”
