Several cast members have come forward to accuse producer Asit Kumarr Modi and his staff of abuse and other things, which is why. Asit Kumar Modi was accused of sexual harassment by Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal, and the show's Bawri, played by Monika Bhadoriya, spoke out about how her career was in danger. According to News 18, Mummun Dutta, who portrays Babita Ji in the show, has a history of clashes with the producers and has even left the set on multiple occasions, according to Monika Bhadoriya. She claimed that Mummun Dutta hasn't quit the programme but that it's possible that she was tortured and that's why she hasn't been seen around the sets in a while. She stated: "A lot of fights have happened with her (Munmun Dutta) too. She has also left the sets several times after arguments. She has not come to sets then for several days."

Additionally, Monika Bhadoriya charged that the filmmakers did not treat female actresses equally with those of men. She claimed that manufacturers don't regard women. She stated: "If a female actor is done with her shoot, they ask them to stay back. They try to finish male actor’s shoot first. Come what may, they do not value females there." She continued by saying that even if both genders receive the same amount of screen time, male actors are paid more than female performers. She also mentioned the 'dirty language' that was employed on the sets.

Along with Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal and Monika Bhadoriya, Rita Reporter (Priya Ahuja) also spoke out against the producers of ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ by concurring with Mrs. Sodhi that the set is "male chauvinistic." Neha Mehta and Shailesh Lodha made serious accusations of unpaid dues well before anything else.
