Dilip Joshi, who is known for playing Jethalal on 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah,' was almost cast in a different part. At first, he was offered the role of Jethalal's father, Champaklal Gada, but he turned it down because he didn't think he could do service to an older character. Amit Bhatt does a great job of playing the part of Champaklal Gada.
After turning down the first offer, Dilip Joshi finally agreed to play Jethalal, which turned out to be a major turning point in his career. Today, he is known as one of the most famous and well-paid TV actors, and Jethalal has become a well-known character.
