Disney+ Hotstar today unveiled the trailer of its much-awaited crime thriller, Rudra - The Edge of Darkness. Directed by Rajesh Mapuskar, the edge-of-the-seat psychological crime drama stars Ajay Devgn in the lead role.
The National Film Award-winning actor is set to make his digital debut with the upcoming show. He plays a fierce cop on a mission. The actor has previously played a cop in a number of critically and commercially successful films such as Gangaajal and Singham franchise. His role in Rudra - The Edge of Darkness also seems quite impressive.
Excited about his digital debut, Devgn said, “The world of digital streaming has always fascinated me, and I am excited to make my digital acting debut into long-format content with a riveting character and title such as Rudra. What enticed me about the character is his nuanced, multi-faceted personality and his grit; something that viewers have never witnessed before at this scale in Indian Entertainment. In addition to Devgn, Rudra: The Edge of Darkness also stars Raashi Khanna, Esha Deol, Atul Kulkarni, Ashwini Kalsekar, Tarun Gahlot, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Satyadeep Misra in pivotal roles.
Produced by Applause Entertainment in association with BBC Studios India, the crime drama which is the official adaptation of the globally successful British series Luther. The six-episode series will premiere on Disney+ Hotstar soon in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam and Bengali.
