Gelato, Fries and Canal Rides is what Deepika Padukone’s Venice trip with mum and sister looks like!

Deepika Padukone has taken a well-deserved break from her crazy busy international schedule. The actress, who is set to join the Cannes Film Festival as a coveted jury member this year, took a quick vacation with her mother, Ujjala Padukone, and sister, Anisha. The three women spent their vacation in Venice, Italy's famous canal city.

With canal rides being the only form of transportation, Deepika Padukone and her family took numerous canal rides while exploring the city. Deepika took to Instagram to share a series of eye - catching photos from her vacation, giving an insight into all the fun.

Deepika not only indulged in burgers and the popular gelato of Venice, but she also immersed herself in the history of Renaissance and Gothic castles. Deepika captioned the photos, "Venice Photo Dump." The actress appears to have needed the vacation before beginning work on Cannes.

The Cannes Film Festival will start on May 17, 2018, and the Jury President, as well as the competition member jury, will select the Palme d'Or honorees for 2022. Deepika Padukone is a jury member and will share the stage with film professionals from all over the world.

Deepika has Pathaan with Shah Rukh Khan, Fighter with Hrithik Roshan, and The Intern with Amitabh Bachchan on the horizon.
