New Pairing Alert: Vivek Oberoi & Jacqueline Fernandes in Pradeep Sarkar's next?
National award-winning director Pradeep Sarkar has been missing from the scene for quite some time now. Sarkar, whose last release Helicopter Eela (2018) featured Kajol, has given us some memorable films over the years like Parineeta (2005), Lagaa Chunari Mein Daag (2007), Lafangey Parindey (2010) and Mardaani (2014).
However, buzz is that the ace filmmaker is back in action and will be helming producer Deepak Mukut's film, based on the lives of late actress Priya Rajvansh and filmmaker Chetan Anand.
Pradeep Sarkar recently confirmed that Jacqueline Fernandez is very much interested to portray Priya Rajvansh in the yet untitled project. And from what we hear now, Vivek Oberoi is also being considered for a pivotal role in the film.
“It is an important role to the script, and Pradeep ji and Deepak ji feel that Vivek suits the part, and have reached out to him. In fact, Vivek and Deepak ji have even been spotted together a couple of times recently. They are in discussions,” revealed a source close to the development.
On the work front, Jacqueline is all set to star in Cirkus with Ranveer Singh and Pooja Hegde. She will also be seen in director Abhishek Sharma’s Ram Setu with Akshay Kumar and Nushrratt Bharuccha.
Meanwhile, Vivek Oberoi will be playing an important role in the Malayalam-language period action thriller Kaduva, which stars Prithviraj Sukumaran in the leading role.
