Ponniyin Selvan 2: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Shares How Her Character Nandini In ‘Hum Dil Chuke Sanam’ Co-starring Salman Khan Is Close To Her Heart

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has appeared in numerous classic films. In her filmography, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has starred in some of the most popular films, including 'Devdas,' 'Josh,' 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil,' and 'Dhoom.' She is now preparing for 'Ponniyin Selvan II's release. Given the impression that Mani Ratnam's first installment was made, it is safe to assume that the second installment of this historical drama will also be a success. Nandini is portrayed by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in 'Ponniyin Selvan.' She holds a special place in her heart for the role of Nandini because the name of the character was the same in 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.'

Aishwarya discussed playing Nandini in both films at the 'Ponniyin Selvan II' promotional event in Mumbai. According to the popular news portal, Aishwarya Rai claimed that Salman Khan's co-star Nandini in the film 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam' was a particularly memorable character because she lived in people's hearts. She expressed gratitude for getting to portray the part because it was still unique to the audience. She remarked that getting to play such powerful, complex female characters that change lives is a blessing.

She quoted, "That was Sanjay Bhansali ji, and today, for my Mani Garu, I got to play Nandini in ‘Ponniyin Selvan.’ That’s just tremendously a blessing to have gotten to play such strong women, such layered women, and women with a character that touches the lives of so many women out there. There’s reliability, and I am very, very, very grateful."

At the event, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan looked stunning in a white Anarkali outfit. She wore it with a layered green neckpiece and left her hair loose. She charmed everyone over with her good deeds, including hugging all of her co-stars and respectfully caressing Mani Ratnam's feet. At the occasion were Vikram, Trisha Krishnan, Karthi, Mani Ratnam, and others. She looked as stunning as ever in black at an earlier event in Hyderabad. On April 28, 'Ponniyin Selvan II' will be released.
