Vicky Kaushal to share screen space with Shah Rukh Khan in Rajkumar Hirani’s next?

According to reports, Vicky Kaushal is in talks with acclaimed filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani for his upcoming directorial venture, starring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role. A leading publication reports that Kaushal has been approached to play an important character in the forthcoming immigration drama, set to mount the shooting floor soon.

Sharing more details, a source in the know informs the publication, “Right from Munnabhai MBBS (2003), Rajkumar Hirani films have always had special roles which warrant the casting of a known face – be it Jimmy Shergill in Munna Bhai franchise, Sanjay Dutt and Sushant Singh Rajput in PK (2014) or Vicky Kaushal in Sanju (2018). And now, Raju Hirani is in advanced talks with Vicky Kaushal to play an important role in his next alongside Shah Rukh Khan.”

The source goes on to add, “Vicky and Rajkumar Hirani bonded well on the sets of Sanju, and hence it is obvious for the director to repeat the casting. The dates, timelines and other aspects are being worked upon at the moment. Only once everything falls in place, the actor would officially come on board the project.”

Khan is presently busy with Yash Raj Films’ Pathan, co-starring Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. He will soon resume work on Atlee’s untitled next.
