Day 4: ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ roars to Rs. 151.57 crores after finishing Monday with Rs. 36.54 crores!
After adding Rs. 36.54 from its Monday earnings, Tiger Zinda takes its total domestic collection to Rs. 151.57 crores.
After finishing its first weekend with an impressive Rs. 114.93 crore, Tiger Zinda Hai remained incredibly strong on its first Monday, earning a handsome amount of Rs. 36.54 crore. This is one of the highest Monday collections ever for a Bollywood flick. Interestingly, the fourth day collection of the film is more than the opening day collection of this year’s biggest hits like Judwaa 2 and Toilet Ek Prem Katha, which had earned Rs. 15.55 crore and Rs. 13.10 crores respectively on their opening day. Starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in lead roles, Tiger Zinda Hai has no big competition in coming two weeks, which means that the earning is going to remain steady till biggies like Pad Man and Aiyaary arrive on 26th January.
Tiger Zinda Hai opened to Rs. 34.10 crore on 22nd December. The word of mouth was so strong that the film registered more footfalls on day 2 and made Rs. 35.30 crore on Saturday. Sunday was outstanding as, showing plenty of force, the Ali Abbas Zafar directorial pocketed a humongous Rs. 45. 53 crore, closing its weekend at an impressive Rs. 114.93 crore and thus becoming the first highest domestic release of 2017. By earning Rs. 36.54 on its first Monday, Tiger Zinda Hai collected a whopping Rs. 151.57 crores in four days. The film is expected to breach the coveted Rs. 200 crore club within a week.
Produced by Aditya Chopra under Yash Raj Films, Tiger Zinda Hai is a sequel to Ek Tha Tiger, which was the highest grossing film of 2012.
