Tony D'souza’s directorial film Azhar witnessed a drop on its first Wednesday at the domestic box-office collection. The film stars actors Emraan Hashmi, Prachi Desai and Nargis Fakhri in the lead. Released in 2500 screens, the film raked in Rs. 2.95 crores on Monday, Rs. 2.45 crores on Tuesday and Rs. 2 crores on Wednesday. Hence, its total collection stands at Rs. 28.20 crores at the domestic markets.
The movie is based on the life of former Indian cricketer Mohammad Azaruddin. The film narrates the controversial story of the cricket’s personal and professional life.
