Azhar performs on average note at box-office on day one
Tony D'Souza's directorial Azhar performed average on day one and collected Rs. 5. 80 crore at the box office.
Yesterday, Emraan Hashmi, Prachi Desai, Nargis Fakhri starrer Azhar released on the silver screens. Tony D'Souza's directorial opened on decent note with 30 to 35% occupancy during morning shows on the first day of its release.
Released in 2500 screens, Azhar was very dull in metro an urban places. The biopic of former Indian cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin performed strong in Mumbai, Gujarat and south. Going by the report, Azhar collected 6.30 crore nett on its opening day. This figure can be counted as the average number by considering its budget, hype and release size. The movie is required to perform better during the weekend for breaking even for the distributors.
