First Day Box Office Collection of 'Raanjhanaa'

Almost all romantic movies are loved by the Indians and to make a great addition in the list, there emerged one more romantic flick set at the backdrop of Varanasi on May 21 featuring the fresh pair of Sonam Kapoor, Dhanush and Abhay Deol and that is 'Raanjhanaa'. After enchanting the audience with catching trailers and song videos, 'Raanjhanaa' is anticipated to perform a great business at the box-office on the very first day of its release. The most prominent elements, which are capable of drawing a great number of viewers to the theatres, can be its unconventional take on the love with engaging story, colourful dialogues the effortless character performances and power of music.

As per the early estimates, 'Raanjhanaa' the directorial venture of Aanand L Rai was expected to fetch around 5 to 6 crores. The flick witnessed a better box office collection on Friday with standard occupancy of 30% to 35%. By evoking that much occupancy, 'Raanjhanaa' catapulted itself among the race of the other releases on the same day.

Though many critics gave a great applause to 'Raanjhanaa', it is likely to face tough competition from earlier releases, such as 'Man Of Steel', a superman series of Hollywood and laughter galore 'Fukrey'. 'World War Z' staring Brat Pitt that released on May 21 is also likely to lock horns with 'Raanjhanaa' over this weekend.
