Exceeding all expectations, the Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer mega-budgeted film, Tiger Zinda Hai , minted a humongous amount of Rs. 33.75 crores on its opening day, becoming the highest opener of 2017 by beating Ajay Devgn 's Diwali release Golmaal Again which had earned Rs. 30.14 crores on its opening day. If we compare the first-day collection of Salman Khan 's latest film with his last release, Tubelight , there is a sea difference between the earnings of both the films as Tubelight had pocketed only Rs. 21.15 crores on its opening day. By earning Rs. 33.75 on a non-holiday from 4600 screens, Tiger Zinda Hai proves that the audience has loved the film and collections are going to soar unbelievably in coming days, especially over the weekend.

Tiger Zinda Hai Still

Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Aditya Chopra  under Yash Raj Films banner, Tiger Zinda Hai is a sequel to Salman's 2012 blockbuster film, Ek Tha Tiger . With a stupendous opening day collection of Rs. 32.92 crores, Ek Tha Tiger was the highest grossing film of 2012. And now, after five years, its sequel turns out to be the highest grossing film of 2017. Tiger Zinda Hai is a far bigger film than Ek Tha Tiger and we hope its collection in coming days proves just that. The film is expected to enter the coveted Rs. 100 crores club within three days. But what will be interesting to see is whether Tiger Zinda Hai becomes Salman Khan ’s third film in the Rs. 300 crores club after Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Sultan .

Tiger Zinda Hai hit screens on 22nd December 2017.
