Plot

Challo Driver is the story of Arjun Kapoor, a fiery young construction magnate and Tanya Malhotra, an arts graduate from Chandigarh — who unwittingly becomes his chauffeur.

He has a penchant for firing drivers and she has a proclivity for quitting jobs until fate — and an unassuming bet — throws them into the deep end and they have to stick out together for a stipulated period of 6 months!

Do sparks fly when they meet? They do, and quite explosively so! They both hate each other's guts, and the film eventually becomes a journey of two mismatched — yet equally firebrand — people learning the all-important lesson of acceptance and sensitivity towards each other, and to their surroundings.

En route, it also addresses, in a lighthearted yet potent vein, all the ills — rage, lawlessness and total chaos — that plague traffic in India and the seething cauldrons that Indian roads have become! Eventually Challo Driver becomes a laugh fest that has the heart of a message-oriented film yet wears wholesome family entertainment on its sleeve — a film that will entertain, enlighten and enrich in equal measure.

CHALLO DRIVER is a Hindi feature film which released on 20th July, 2012. It has been directed by Vickrant Mahajan who has also acted in the film in one of the lead roles. This film falls under the genre of comedy. But does it succeed in making you laugh? Read the review below to know its answer.Story : The story is of Tanaya Malhotra (Kainaz Motiwala) who is a typical Punjabi girl and Arjun Kapoor (Vickrant Mahajan) who is a business tycoon. He keeps firing his drivers due to various reasons and gives ads for the requirement of driver. One day Tanaya sees the vacancy of driver and takes the job. First everyone reacts of her being a driver because she was a lady. But she manages to convince them. What happens later is what makes the rest of the film.Do they fall in love? Or Does Arjun too fire him? Such queries are answered in the remaining part of the film.Acting : Vickrant Mahajan (who is also the director of the film) does not impress at all in the role of stiff business tycoon. His acting is poor as well he doesn't suit the character. Kainaz Motivala (Ragini MMS fame) is also so and so. Prem Chopra is as usual. The only actor who impresses you is Manoj Pahwa. His comical timing is great! He is the only actor who succeeds in making you smile and laugh at some places.Script : This film's script is unusual but not for the Indian audience. Though thought of the film is different and in favour of female of this country, but it is not convincing. The script lacks comedy and justification of the characters.Direction : The director Vickrant fails to make you laugh in the name of a comedy film. His takings and long shots are good but overall direction is amateurish. It hardly leaves any impact on your mind. The only good thing about it is that he has avoided making the male characters atrocious.Plus Points : Hardly AnythingMinus Points : Star Cast; Poor Direction; Unconvincing Plot & Poor Script; MusicConclusion : Due to low star cast and poor direction plus poor script, it is hardly going to do any business at the box office. Only Manoj Pahwa is not going to save the film. Even though no big film released this week, it may not even run for a week in many theatres.Verdict : Better spend your time & money in some other useful things than watching this film.
