Apart from playing the lead character, the National Film Award-winning actor also wields the megaphone and succeeds wonderfully in both departments. Every scene in the film adds new layers to the lead character. Devgn does not try to go away from the original Tamil film story-wise, but he makes the film his own by adding jaw-dropping action sequences, heightened emotions, and excellent background score.
