Natha is a poor farmer who lives in Peepli village and owns a small plot of land but since he hasn't paid government loan, the government is going to snatch his small plot of land from him. On one hand government helps the farmers' families by providing monetary help who commit suicide and on the other hand the government snatches the land from the farmers who are unable to pay the loan. Thus Natha gets the idea to commit suicide so that his family could get help from the government for survival. But his brother wants him to fight election because local elections are around the corner but Natha desn't want to get into this.

What will happen? Will Natha commit suicide or his problem will be solved into another way is the story of the film.
