Shahrukh and Juhi play two very competitive television reporters working for rival channels who would go to any lengths to get a story. Till, they get caught up in the politics of a power struggle between the Chief Minister and the opposition leader. A common man, played by Paresh Rawal, becomes a victim of injustice when he is made into a political scapegoat and condemned to hang. The two reporters, having uncovered the truth, use the media to expose the politicians. They pull this off with the help of a media-craving underworld don, Johnny Lever, against the opposition of their greedy employers, power- hungry politicians and corrupt police.
