Smita Jaykar is a well known character actress working in Hindi films, Tv serials as well as Marathi films and TV serials. She mainly plays the role of Hero or Heroine's mother or plays supporting roles in the TV serials and movies.
She was born in Thakurdwar neighborhood in Mumbai. She hails from a Maharashtrian family. Her husband is Mohan Jaykar, son of famous lawyer M.R. Jaykar. Smita is well known for her roles in Marathi theatre, films, TV serials, Hindi TV serials and films.
