Amay Patnaik (Ajay Devgn) is an honest Income Tax officer who cannot stand black money hoarders. He follows a very simple rule in his life that he will not accept things which he cannot afford with his salary. After being transferred from one city to the other, he has now been posted in Lucknow. His wife Malini (Ileana D'cruz) is his biggest support. In Lucknow, he comes across Tauji (Saurabh Shukla), one of the most powerful politicians in the politics of the state. One day, Amay receives a call from some unknown person who gives him a series of proofs against Tauji's unaccounted money that is stashed in his bungalow and runs into crores. Amay constitutes a special team of Income Tax officers and raids Tauji's bungalow and brings him to the book.
