Raghuram Sitaram (Sushant Singh Rajput) a happy-go-lucky guy hails from Jaipur. He is fondly called as Raghu. He works as a \'baraati\' on lease for additional income. Raghu does not hold any plans of marriage and to settle down, as he strongly fears to commit to any girl. Once, Raghu\'s marriage gets planned with a gorgeous girl named Tara (Vaani Kapoor). But, Raghu runs away from his own marriage with his mind full of ambiguity pertaining to the concept of arranged marriage. Post this incidence, he comes across Gayatri (Parineeti Chopra), a free-natured and mighty girl. Both of them begin their live-in relationship and eventually, decide to marry. This time, Gayatri makes last minute escape from the \'mandap\', leaving Raghu bewildered. As we say, the world is a small place, Tara re-enters in Raghu\'s life, marking a polar turn in the story.
