One Line Review: A movie for those who loves suspense thriller. Positive Points: A unique suspense thriller; impressive performance of all the characters; Amazing climax; Good Message about spiritual World Negative Points: A slow first half of the film. Plot: A popular actor dies in a car accident and that's where police officer Surjan Singh Shekhawat aka Suri (Aamir Khan) comes into the scene for investigation. Also, a troubled father who hasn't recovered from the trauma of the death of his 8 year old son, Suri considers himself responsible for it. This also causes his world to fall apart. The investigation takes him to a red light district, where he comes across Rosy (Kareena Kapoor), a hooker, who drops hints and talks in riddling ways to take him closer to the investigation. He is assisted by his junior Devrath (Rajkummar Rao) and then there is a guy named Temur (Nawazuddin Siddiqui) who is playing his own tricks. While the officer continues his investigation, he and his wife, Roshni (Rani Mukherji) are unable to accept their son's death and are in a traumatic condition. An insomniac Suri wonders through the roads at night, leaving his wife alone to deal with the trauma. Will Suri unravel the mystery behind the accident? Has that got to do something with his son's death? How far will the investigation take him? To unravel the mystery, the movie is certainly worth a watch. Performances: Aamir Khan does an excellent job in his cop-father role. Kareena is superb in her prostitute role. Nawazuddin Siddiqui once again proofed that he is an excellent actor. Rani Mukherji is also good in her role as a wife-mother who lost her son. Direction, Music and Other Aspects: Reema Kagti's direction is very consistent right from the beginning till the end. Some audience may find the end a bit unexpected and unusual, but is still good. Cinematography by KU Mohanan is impressive, as he takes the viewers through strange locales and gives a dreamy feeling with an unusual play of colors and effects. Music in this regard is really good by Ram Sampath, where he mixes Jazz, Classical fusion and Electronic. Javed Akhtar's lyrics are outstanding. Verdict: Though not so entertaining, but certainly is an engaging and a good suspense-mystery thriller.
