TANU WEDS MANU is a Hindi romantic comedy film produced by Shailendra Singh and directed by Anand Rai.Story : This is the story of Tanu and Manu and their marriage. Tanuja Trivedi alias Tanu (Kangana Ranawat) belongs to a middle class family of Kanpur. She always wants to do what she likes. She wants to follow her own rules. She has completed BA from DU and hates anything what her parents likes. For example her parent likes arranged marriage whereas she hates arranged marriage.She lives a life of modern girl and rides a heavy bike in crowded market. She enjoys drinking wine without soda and water. She doesn't believe in social rituals and customs.Her parents are looking for a simple groom and a perfect match for Tanu so that after her marriage they could lead a tension free life.Manoj Sharma alias Manu (Madhwan) is a shy guy who has settled in London after completing his education. His parents have brought him to India so that he could see the girl who has been liked by his parents.He goes to see the girl Tanu where he sees her who has lost her sense after consuming many sleeping pills. He falls in love with her. But the nature of both of them is totally opposite. One is short tempered whereas Manu is of cool nature. Manu gives his consent to marry Tanu.Thereafter they are taken to visit Vaishnu Devi Temple but on the way Tanu shows her such a negative aspect that Manu is compelled to cancel the marriage.What happens later makes the rest of the film.Direction : Nearly four years ago the same director Anand Rai had directed a film for Raj Kundra (Husband of Shilpa Shetty) titled as STRANERS which was a flop thereafter Anand Rai did another film titled as THODI LIFE THODA MAGIC which met the same fate. Experiencing bitter experience Anand Rai tried to change his style of film making and added and incorporated many elements of Yash Raj Productions and of Raj Shree Productions which guarantees the success of the film- Marriage elements. Direction of the film is good.Performance : Madhwan has done his job brilliantly. Day by day his talent is improving. Kangana Ranawat too fits into her role and has done her part well. Other actors are average.Script : Script of the film is good.Music : Music of the film is average.Plus Point: This film contains some humor elements and is a light film which you would like to watch.Verdict : Go for it! It will not disappoint you!
