Kangana Ranaut in 2021 spoke about failure and success in everyone’s life. She said, “people will abandon you if you’re a failure, and pull you down and make you their target if you’re successful. You have to be alone because they say ‘winner stands alone’. You will never be able to decide what is worse, success or failure.” When we see at Kangana Ranaut now it truly shows that she made it possible by making it possible in her career. Kangana, who was born in the Himachal Pradesh town of Bhambla, has always been a rebel. Kangana's adventure is a total Bollywood potboiler, from demanding equality at home to living on the bare necessities during her early days in Mumbai.
Kangana abandoned her parents' dream to see her become a doctor. She even resigned modelling work because there was "no room for creativity" there. And she can only appreciate one of her theatrical colleagues, whose absence during an Asmita Theatre Group performance in Delhi gave her guideline. It allowed her to play not only her own role, but also that of the absent male actor. It was a sign to her that she was destined for greater things.
Though many consider her fortunate to have landed the role of Gangster (2006), she was not Mahesh Bhatt's first choice. He wished Chitrangada Singh to play the role, but she was unable to do so, allowing Kangana to take her place. In the same year, she appeared in Woh Lamhe, in which her character was inspired by the tragic story of earlier eras of diva Parveen Babi. Her portrayal of a strong but broken character demonstrated her acting abilities. It required her to expose her heart and emotions in order to revisit the role, which she described as "emotionally exhausting."
Her true fight for survival to fit the bill, nevertheless, began here. She had a quarrel with director Suneel Darshan in Shakalaka Boom Boom after he dubbed her voice. He stated that he required a certain "twang and accent" for her character. Later, she was upset with Kites for removing a substantial chunk of her role. In box office flops like Knock Out, No Problem, Game, Rascals, Tezz, and Miley Naa Miley Hum, she was reduced to arm candy. Rangoon's failure was also referred to as a "reality check" by her.
In Life in a Metro, she reconciled with Anurag Basu. Raaz: The Mystery Continues, Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, and Double Dhamaal also provided her with some relief. Eventually, three films were released that altered the course of her career: Fashion (2008), Tanu Weds Manu (2011), and Queen. (2014).
Her post-Queen career only served to strengthen her position in the movie industry. The remaining, as they say, is history; she went on to win various awards for her achievements, as well as become a director and producer.
