One Line Review: ‘Tum Bin 2’ – Well, you can let it go off. Positive Points: Camaraderie between sisters was much more relatable and “Original”, songs of the films and great work done by the production designing team Negative Points: Under developed lead characters, too preachy dialogues and abrupt editing Plot: Amar (Aashim Gulati) and his fiance Taran (Neha Sharma) head for an adventurous vacation. Their “we-time” meets a tragic end when Amar hits an accident. After a 10-day long rescue operation, he is declared dead on being unable to trace. Heartbroken Taran returns home with her father-in-law. Her family tries hard to uplift her mood, but all in vain. Then, there comes a hope in her life with Shekhar (Aditya Seal). He helps her move out of that tragic phase and encourages her to start life on a new note. Soon, they fall in love. Just when things are settling down, Amar comes back. Taran is now left with the confusion – whether to rekindle her old relationship or to continue with her newly founded love. Direction and Other Technical Aspects: Anubhav Sinha has reattempted his “lost and found love” theory in ‘Tum Bin 2’ and it’s decent enough. But when there’s a prequel, comparison is bound to happen. He was relatively good in making of original. In the sequel, screenplay has fallen short as again Anubhav is unable to develop the characters. It’s a love triangle, yet both the men are seen playing passing the pass with the heroine. I mean, why? Don’t they love her? Next is the poor editing. How can they just cut an on-going scene in the middle? It looks too abrupt. ‘Tum Bin 2’ earns a point for its production designing. They have spotted some spectacular locations to shoot in. Performances: Neha Sharma scores an average in acting. Her camaraderie with her Kaur sisters is fun to watch rather than with her boyfriends. Aashim Gulati and Aditya Seal are undoubtedly handsome. But they still have a lot to learn about acting. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the supporting cast and the drama they created. Good job! Music: Sound track of ‘Tum Bin 2’ is soulful. The decision of using Jagjit Singh’s “Tere Fariyad” was the best. Final Verdict: The prequel of ‘Tum Bin 2’ is much better. Go watch it again!

Tum Bin 2, a run down sequel of the 2001 sleeper hit Tum Bin, is a clear side-effect of reading too many Nicholas Sparks' novels. Semi-effective lines, like, 'Pyaar reasonable nahin bewajah hota hai', seem like a rip off from one of those mushy bestsellers that 13-year-olds read. There is also little in this sequel that seems to be at variance with the original.
Sometimes old wine can be sold in a new package. Anubhav Sinha's Tum Bin 2 is an example of selling an age old romantic story with young actors and fancy locations. Even though the story feels all too familiar, the updated packaging adds a new appeal. The quintessential love triangle still has entertainment value. Good music can still trump mediocre storytelling. For enthusiasts of young, flaky romance Tum Bin 2 has all the right flavours.
When Tum Bin released in 2001, it was a surprise hit with four debutante actors -- Sandali Sinha, Priyanshu Chatterjee, Himanshu Malik and Raqesh Vashisht, who was then known as Rakesh Bapat. They did not attract much of an opening collection, but the melancholic love saga found its way into the hearts of the audience. They soon flocked to theatres, making it a hit.
TUM BIN 2 is a couple's roller coaster ride in the lives of friends turned lovers, which mirrors the ups and downs of their lives. The film starts off with an untoward and unexpected skiing accident of Amar (Aashim Gulati). When the rescue team gives up their hope of finding Amar's body, this leaves his fiance Taran (Neha Sharma) and Amar's loving caring father Papaji (Kanwaljeet Singh) with no hope of finding him ever.
After suffering Force 2 a day ago, it was time to watch another sequel Tum Bin 2 in the hope that at least this time around, the sequel may be better than the prequel or at least match up to the earlier film. However, it seems that Anubhav Sinha surely must have run out of ideas as he has taken the same plot from Tum Bin, made a few changes and served it to an ostensibly unsuspecting audience.

Director Anubhav Sinha will take you on a free holiday to snow-laden exotic locales at the cost of just a movie ticket price. A tale of clichd romances and sacrificing for true love, 'Tum Bin 2' has everything that will leave you in tears.
It was with Tum Bin that director Anubhav Sinha got his start in Bollywood. It was 2001, the year the Mumbai film industry delivered two of the new millennium's most memorable films, Lagaan and Dil Chahta Hai. Over the decade and a half that have elapsed since, Hindi cinema, romantic dramas and Sinha himself have undergone many an inevitable change. Hence it feels a tad odd that a sequel to Tum Bin has been be attempted in the year 2016.
In Tum Bin II, a much-in-love couple lands in the Alps for a skiing holiday and immediately breaks into a song where he is wrapped up from top to toe and she's barely covered in billowing chiffon. Amar, played by Aashim Gulati, is a mix between Shah Rukh Khan (as he dances on the Alps, arms spread wide) and Sidharth Malhotra. Neha Sharma plays his fiance Taran, who is left to mourn and grieve over a tragic incident.
Taran (Neha Sharma) and Amar (Aashim Gulati) are the ideal 'in love' couple. On their vacation together, Amar takes a skiing expedition by himself and meets with an accident. After, 10 days of search operations, the rescue team fail to find his body but assume him to be dead.
Taran (Neha Sharma) loses her fiance Amar (Aashim Gulati) in an unfortunate skiing accident. Unable to deal with the untimely death of the love of her life, she begins to sink into depression, to the point where she even starts hallucinating Amar. A bright ray of light enters her life - Shekhar (Aditya Seal), who is introduced to her by Amar's father (Kanwaljit Singh).
Taran (Neha Sharma) finds solace in Shekhar (Aditya Seal) while coping with the untimely death of her boyfriend Amar (Aashim Gulati). Love eventually finds a way as Shekhar helps Taran get on with her life. His companionship heals her wounds and almost mends her broken heart, until fate comes knocking...
Tum Bin 2 comes 15 years after the first one (Tum Bin), and is an instant throwback to the same space and similar plot-points: foreign locations, an accident, a guilt-ridden protagonist, and young love. Amar (Aashim Gulati) and Taran (Neha Sharma) love each other, and then something terrible happens, and he drops out of the picture.
