Abhishek Bachchan opts out of Ronnie Screwvala’s untitled comedy film to star in JP Dutta’s war-drama Paltan.

Abhishek Bachchan has previously worked with both, Ronnie Screwvala and JP Dutta , but when it came to teaming up with them again for a film, Junior Bachchan has reportedly chosen JP Dutta who launched him in Bollywood with Refugee (2000). According to reports, Abhishek, who had almost given his nod to star in Screwvala's next untitled comedy film, also starring Irrfan Khan in the lead role, has apparently opted out of the project to do JP Dutta 's war-drama film, ' Paltan ', which boasts of an ensemble star cast including Arjun Rampal and Sonu Sood and is all set to hit screens next year.
Reportedly, Screwvala's project was all set to take off in the month of January 2018, but after Abhishek walked out of it, the makers may reschedule the whole shooting schedule. Reportedly, the makers are now considering Ayushman Khurana for the role. Talks are on with him and if things fall into place, the actor may join the cast very soon. The film will be directed by Akarsh Khurana.
Meanwhile, Abhishek Bachchan will soon start shooting for the Ram Gopal Varma directorial movie Sanak.
