Aparnaa Singh's Irada walks away with two National Awards
The 65th National Awards ceremony will be held on 3rd May in New Delhi.
The small-budgeted film Irada won big at the 65th National Film Awards announced on Friday. The Aparnaa Singh directorial was adjudged the Best film in Environmental Conversation category and talented actress Divya Dutta, who played a pivotal role in it, walked away with her first National Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Produced by Irada Entertainment LLP, Irada talks about the ignorance and growing corruption which greatly harms the environment and our society. Besides Divya Dutta, the film also stars veteran Naseeruddin Shah, Arshad Warsi, Sharad Kelkar and Sagarika Ghatge in important roles.
Now the production house, Irada Entertainment, is gearing up for their upcoming Gujarati film Ventilator which stars Jackie Shroff in the principal character. The movie is an adaptation of three National Award winning Marathi film Ventilator, produced by Priyanka Chopra.
