Carbon: An eye-opening short film ft. Jackky, Nawazuddin & Prachi!

The short film Carbon is finally out and open to the world to see! This 24 minutes long short film depicts a horrible future that earth can face if the right step towards conserving it, are not taken. The movie features Jackky Bhagnani , Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Prachi Desai in key roles. It is an eye-opening scenario wherein 50 years from now, the earth has transformed into a place where oxygen is not free anymore but is a commodity like toothpaste and shampoo. Water is not free and people are killing each other for these basic necessities in that world, where life of every form is under threat.

Jackky plays the role of a guy with an artificial heart due to which he has a license to carry oxygen cans. For the dream of leaving earth and shifting to Mars, Jackky indulges into oxygen smuggling. Nawazuddin plays the role of a contract killer from Mars while Prachi is a robot. All the stars justify their part aptly in this short film. The movie does not reach a conclusion but just does what it should, it shows the present generation what can happen to the planet if man does not stop polluting the environment. The film has been made on a tight budget and hence, the VFX is not so perfect. Since the concept is so powerful and important that the loopholes are rightly sidelined.

The film ends on a very important note by Mahatma Gandhi, it reads: "The future depends on what we do in the present."

Let’s hope we never ever have to face such a future in the coming times. It is applaudable of the film team to take up such a unique yet important subject and create a sci-fi short film.
