Don’t want to indulge in a woman-centric film just now, says Kriti Kharbanda!
When asked if she wants to play a protagonist in a female-centric film, this is what Kriti said.
Kriti Kharbanda, who is just 2 films old in Bollywood, is all set to rock the theatres from today with her third Hindi film ‘Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana’ opposite Rajkummar Rao. Before debuting in Bollywood, Kriti has worked in Kannada and Telugu cinema. When asked if she wants to play a protagonist in a female-centric film, Kriti told a leading news agency, "Honestly, I do not want to indulge in a woman-centric film just now. I am not as famous as I wish to be and therefore, I do not have the ability to pull the crowd to the theatre. Yes, if you are asking as an artiste, with a good story, it is a lucrative thing to act in a woman-centric film but I cannot let my producer suffer because of my creative satisfaction."
However, she added: "I think in the south I can do it, especially in the Kannada film industry. I am popular enough to do a woman-centric film there."
Kriti, who was last seen ‘Guest Iin London’, has somewhere failed to wow the audience with her acting chops. However, it’ll great to see her opposite Rajkummar Rao in ‘Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana’ which releases today nationwide.
