It's quite difficult to make a biopic on Kishore Kumar: Anurag Basu
Filmmaker Anurag Basu, who is all set to make Kishore Kumar biopic right after the release of Jagga Jasoos, says it's not easy to make biopic on the legendary personality.

Filmmaker Anurag Basu is currently tied up with the promotion of his forthcoming musical-spy film Jagga Jasoos with Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif . Soon after the release of the film on 14th July, Anurag might start working on a biopic based on the life of legendary Kishore Kumar. Upon being asked about the biopic at an event held recently, the maverick filmmaker says," That is one film which I am really looking forward to. But it's quite difficult to make a biopic on Kishore Kumar. There are lots of legal things also when you're doing a biopic. So we are going through all those things, trying to resolve. Ranbir is also looking forward to the film."
Talking about his upcoming release, Jagga Jasoos , Anurag says," I love musicals, all adventure stories and had stacks of Tintin... It was just in the back of my mind and the childhood came out. There was no process, no method in it. When you start writing, you discover your childhood. But the musical genre is very tough. So it was challenging and very scary. But that's what is exciting about filmmaking."
We hope Jagga Jasoos turns out to be a success at the box office, so that Anurag could soon start his preparations for the Kishore Kumar biopic.
