KriArj Entertainment to remake the 1964 cult film, ‘Woh Kaun Thi?’

After delivering back to back hits like Rustom, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Pad Man and Pari, KriArj Entertainment has now become one of the most sought-after production houses in India. Prernaa Arora’s KriArj has mastered itself on how to serve a content-driven film with the commercial touch. With a success ratio of 100%, the young production house has now purchased the remake rights of 1964’s cult film, ‘Woh Kaun Thi?’

As per the latest update, KriArj has now acquired the official rights of the 1964 timeless classic from NN Sippy. The psychological thriller is one of the cult classics that is talked about till date. The film was directed by Raj Khosla and starred Manoj Kumar and Sadhana. The movie is especially known for its remarkable songs composed by Madhan Mohan. Who can forget – Naina Barse Rimjhim, and Lag Ja Gale se, two of the most celebrated songs of all time.

Talking about the same with a leading daily, Prernaa said, “The minute we acquired the remake rights we thought of the songs. These two songs form the backbone of Woh Kaun Thi. The film cannot be imagined without those songs.”

Meanwhile, KriArj Entertainment has four big films releasing this year. While their first film, Parmanu: The Story Of Pokhran, is all set to hit the big screen next month, their other three films, Fanne Khan, Batti Gul Meter Chalu and Kedarnath are still under production.
