Kunal Kapoor's trilingual 'Veeram' based on Shakespeare's play 'Macbeth'

Kunal Kapoor's upcoming film 'Veeram' by Malayalam filmmaker Jayaraj is based on Shakespeare's play Macbeth.

' Kaun Kitney Paani Mein ' was his last release and now, Kunal Kapoor will feature in Malayalam filmmaker Jayaraj's forthcoming trilingual 'Veeram', reportedly. The movie 'Veeram' has its roots dipped in Shakespeare's play 'Macbeth'. The flick spins around a martial arts form called Kalaripayattu. Kunal will essay a warrior in it.

Talking about this film, Kunal Kapoor stated "It's an interesting story about bravery, lust, greed and power. It is centered on this warrior who prophesises that he will be king one day. It's every actor's dream to play Macbeth and I had wanted to do an action film for a long time so when I was offered this one, I immediately jumped on board," The actor further added that "I have been training with a Kalaripayattu expert from Kerala since the last three months. I had a great time learning it,"

The shooting of this film is likely to start in this week.
