LGBT community praises \'Dedh Ishqiya\'

'Dedh Ishqiya' co-producer Shemaroo Entertainment reportedly arranged a special screening of their film for LGBT (lesbian, gay bi-sexual trans-gender) community at PVR Juhu. Madhuri Dixit, Huma Qureshi starrer became the first film to be screened for LGBT community. The previous movies like 'Bombay Talkies ' and 'I Am' that revolved around homosexuality, were not exclusively screened for LGBT community.

During this special screening, LGBT community members gave an overwhelming response to 'Dedh Ishqiya'. If the reports are to be believed, the producers of the film now intend to screen the film in various cities and also in foreign countries for the gay community. This romantic thriller has also received thumbs up from UAE and Pakistan. Ketan Maroo of Shemaroo Entertainment revealed that "We are quite overwhelmed by the response to the film from every community. We are happy the LGBT community has embraced the film. 'Dedh Ishqiya' has also been loved by female audiences. Audiences have been in splits during the movie and have gone out and spread the good word. And this is proven by the growth and sustained performance of the film at the multiplexes,"
