Madhur Bhandarkar's 'Calendar Girls' receives 'A' certificate
Madhur Bhandarkar's latest work 'Calendar Girls' received 'A' certificate from the censor board.
The 3-times National award winner Madhur Bhandarkar is soon coming up with his latest work, 'Calendar Girls'. Going by the report, 'Calendar Girls' was given 'A' certificate from the censor board with certain verbal cuts. However, there were no visual cuts.
The producers of the film and Bhandarkar are not happy about 'Adults' certification and are planning to appeal against this to the CBFC's Revising Committee, as per the report. Nevertheless, the bikini shots in the flick are required to be lessened even if Bhandarkar appeals for 'UA' certificate.
A close source said "The censor board felt the film's content and visuals immediately warranted an 'A' certificate. Some abusive words were cut. All the shots of girls in bikinis have been left intact."
