Mouni Roy credits the success of Naagin to the entire team!

Popular TV actress Mouni Roy often is in the lime light for her on point fashion outings. Mouni who has been a part of multiple hit TV serials has another successful show backing her which is Ekta Kapoor ’s Naagin. The second season of the show ended recently and the actress expressed herself to the fullest in a media statement. She stated that the success of both the seasons depends upon the team effort. On the work front, she hasn’t signed anything new on television yet.

“I don’t think a show or anything that requires creative inputs, and a collective effort is possible without a team. One person is never responsible for the success or failure of a project. Both success and failure are shared among the team members. Both seasons of Naagin have done so well and that is because of the team effort. Every single person - right from our director to the writers to the spot dada to the creative and production teams –are as involved and responsible for the show to be a hit as the actors.”

When I look back at both the seasons, it [the memories] seems vague. We had put in so many hours of work and towards the end, I even did 22 scenes in one day. Because I learn dialogues very well, they [the creative team] pile on more [work] on me (laughs). It was a demanding show but I also believe that there is no shortcut to hard work. And because of costume changes, getting ready for the snake woman look, fighting, doing emotional or angry scenes require a good amount of physical energy, it exhausts you,” the actress added.

Mouni Roy will soon make her Bollywood debut opposite Akshay Kumar in the upcoming film Gold . Talking about Mouni’s selection, Producer Riteish Sidhwani said in a statement, “To be honest, nobody recommended her. She is talented… It’s like taking away someone’s talent by saying that somebody recommended her. She was actually auditioned for that part and she gave a fantastic audition.”
