Music rights for 'Raanjhanaa' traded for 6 crores

The music rights of the love story 'Raanjhanaa' starring Sonam Kapoor and Dhanush have been bought by Sony Music for 6 crores recently.

Ever since ' Raanjhanaa 's song 'Tum Tak' has been arrived in the market, the movie has become the talk of the town. The film has got the music composed by A. R. Rahman . South star Dhanush and Sonam Kapoor starer ' Raanjhanaa ' has melodious music. According to the buzz, the music rights of this film have been sold for a price of 6 crores. The giant in Music companies, Sony Music has bought the rights of the music of ' Raanjhanaa '.

Recently, the two distribution giants, Eros International and Sony Music has decided to distribute the music of this film in a collaboration. The love story will hit the screens soon, but before the release of the film, the music of ' Raanjhanaa ' is hit amongst the audience. According to the source, the price of 6 crores is a huge amount in recent times. In this day and age, any film does not get such a big amount of money for its music rights unless it has some big names involved. The source said that ' Raanjhanaa ' got such good amount because the music maestro A. R. Rahman has composed the music for it. The source also revealed that many music companies approached for the music rights for ' Raanjhanaa ', but Eros International were clear that they will not sign on the dotted line unless the company settles on more than 5 crores.

The film is directed by Anand L Rai which narrates the love triangle set in Varanasi and Delhi. Abhay Deol also will be seen in a supporting role in this film.
