The news that ‘Dabangg 3’ is in the works has been in the limelight for months on end now. Reportedly, the next instalment of the franchise will be helmed by Prabhu Deva. Salman, who nailed the role of Chulbul Pandey in the previous films of the ‘Dabangg’ franchise, will reprise the role in its third installment too. The actor finished the shoots of ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’ a few days back and will kick-start ‘Race 3’ on November 9. Though the news in the air says that ‘Dabangg 3’ will go on floors from earlier next year, Salman recently revealed that he will be simultaneously filming ‘Dabangg 3’ and Atul Agnihotri’s period drama ‘Bharat’.
In a statement to a leading newspaper, Arbaaz Khan said, “We had already announced some months ago that Prabhu Deva is directing the film and we met to discuss work.” The previous two ‘Dabangg’ movies were directed by Abhinav Kashyap and Arbaaz Khan respectively and both the movies were made under Arbaaz Khan Productions. The third installment will be helmed by ace choreographer and director Prabhu Deva, who has previously directed 2009 superhit ‘Wanted’ featuring Salman Khan.
