New song Butterfly from Jab Harry Met Sejal sets the festive vibe right! Also featuring Anushka Sharma in Jattani avatar with SRK as the Punjabi lad!

If any Shah Rukh Khan fan had a random wish to see him in total Punjabi avatar, then his upcoming film Jab Harry Met Sejal might serve a chance to see him in that role. Via mini-trailer, songs and dialogue promos, his Gabru charm grabbed his fan like a glue and now his crazy antics in a recently released song from the film, Butterfly, would sure to cast a lasting impression on viewers mind. Let alone Shah Rukh charm, the song itself is so festive and energising, and yet being Punjabi style is just an element! Just see it yourself!
The song starts with a bang on reaction of Anushka Sharma of what SRK’s die-heart fan would feel when they see him in such avatar! Straight to farmland, Shah Rukh wearing farmers pagadi, singing songs, dancing with Anushka, with rest of the villagers dressed in traditional Panjabi attire joins them. All this so that director Imtiaz Ali wouldn’t lose a single element of Punjabi-ness! It is also good to see, the character of Sejal Zaveri paint herself well in colours of Harry and Punjab, despite being a Gujrati Girl!
Being an Imtiaz Ali fan, one can’t help but notice that, butterfly song is so reminiscent of Nagada from Jab We Met, in terms of colour gamut and energy infused in visuals and song! Maybe it is a sequel of Jab We Met!
This energetic Punjabi song is penned by Dr Irshad Kamil and composed by Pritam, who also worked on Nagada, now it makes sense! But this song is sung by ensemble vocalists like Aman Trikha, Nooran Sisters, Dev Negi and Sunidhi Chauhan. The film, Jab Harry Met Sejal, includes the cast of Sayani Gupta, Evelyn Sharma, Aru Krishansh Verma, Chandan Roy Sanyal and also Paras Arora and the film is set to release on 4th Aug!
