Sushant Singh Rajput to star in Shekhar Kapur's 'Paani'

Shekhar Kapur , a renowned name in the Indian film industry, has been in news for quite a decade for commencing his so called crafted dream venture ' Paani '. The filmmaker had drafted the finals for his project a long time ago, but the project however remained in the shelf due to lack of an appropriate actor to essay the lead.

However, Shekhar was about to end his suspense by kickstarting the flick with the green eyed Greek God, Hrithik Roshan . Merely, now it looks like the almighty has some one else in his mind to be replacing the Greek phenom, who's a lot more of Indian, Sushant Singh Rajput .

Yes! Sushant, the actor who hoped on the success wagon soon after his debut with ' Kai Po Che ', was in no time roped in by the supreme Yash Raj Films production with a three film contract. Their first to be with Sushant was the recent release ' Shuddh Desi Romance '. The first being a hit and second the same with increasing number of fans to his kitty, had Shekhar eventually opting for the desi star to be a part of the famous Indo - Western mixture ' Paani ', as per the sources.

Reportedly, sharing a word about the spectacular, produced by Aditya Chopra under his home banner ' Yash Raj Films ' and directed by Shekhar himself, the director disclosed the fact that Sushant is one of the inspiring young actors from India and working with him will be far beyond exciting.

' Paani ', on the other hand, is also a unconventional piece of art, depicting the global future that will be urging a war like situation for nature's bless water in near future.
