Udta Punjab not to release in Pakistan; makers refuse cuts
Udta Punjab will not release in Pakistan as the censor board there demanded 100 cuts and the makers of movie will not be doing it.
Abhishek Chaubey's directorial Udta Punjab has witnessed success at the box office. The film released after facing a deep trouble over its content. The movie revolves around the drug abuse issue in Punjab. Reportedly, Udta Punjab will not hit the screens in Pakistan as the censor board there demanded 100 cuts and the makers of film refused to do so.

In a recent report, the director Chaubey said "It definitely means loss of revenue if the film is not released in Pakistan. But more than that... it would make no sense to release it with the said cuts. The film is intended to convey something and make a point."
The filmmaker further added "There is no scope to fight our case in Pakistan. So, we decided not to release the film there,'' reportedly.
