What if Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was cast in Padmavati!

You can ask any director and they would tell you, casting is always the difficult process and it can be tricky if one involves casting superstars for an ambitious project. So far, ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is well aware of such challenges as most of the actors he keep in mind while planning for any film, those actors deny or things didn’t happen in the way it supposed to be. As reported by Pinkvilla , Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone wasn’t the first choice for Sanjay Leela Bhansali when he drafted the story. And the pairing was none other than Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan !

During the time of break up between Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan , Bhansali was still hopeful to make the film with Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead. Bhansali even seek chances, if they were still willing to do the movie together. Although, Aishwarya would have agreed to do the film, only if Salman Khan was playing the role of Alauddin Khilji, as Alauddin and Padmavati have no scenes together, so it was fitting opportunity Aishwarya Rai Bachchan !

But much to the surprise, the idea did not work out well with Salman as he would likely to be a part of the film if it was a love story and he was adamant to recreate his magical chemistry of Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam with Aishwarya. So he didn't settle for a movie where he didn't get to romance her.

Poor Sanjay Leela Bhansali ! Although casting Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone is still a great pick as audiences were mesmerized with the chemistry in Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-leela and Bajirao Mastani . So it would be still craze-worthy to wait for the Padmavati to be release on 17th November!
