There is no denying the fact that Vijay is one of the most successful actors that Tamil cinema has ever produced. The superstar is a rage at the box office where his films end up doing riotous business. In a time when actors were scared of releasing their films during the coronavirus pandemic, his film Master (2020) opened to packed houses and emerged as one of the highest-grossing films across all industries. That shows the power that Vijay wields at the box office.

Every filmmaker wants to work with him and they are ready to spend any amount of money to sign him. If reports are to be believed, Vijay will receive a massive paycheque for his 66th film that Vamshi Paidipally is helming in Tamil.

Produced by Dil Raju under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Productions, the untitled film is being made in Tamil and Telugu. The producers have offered Vijay a staggering amount of more than ₹100 crore for the film.

Since Thalapathy 66 is being made in Tamil and Telugu and the makers are expecting the film to do exceptionally well in both the markets. Vijay has been reportedly offered a pay package of ₹118 crores for the high-profile project.

Meanwhile, Vijay next stars in Beast, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. Produced by Sun Pictures, the film also stars Pooja Hegde in the lead role. The film is due to hit cinemas in multiple languages this April.
