Raqesh Bapat denies dating Shamita Shetty, calls her a ‘dear friend’

Raqesh Bapat and Shamita Shetty are one of the industry's power couples. Inside the Bigg Boss OTT house, the two met and instantly started it off. Shamita went on to be a finalist whereas Raqesh was there to encourage her throughout her journey. However, speculations have been circulating for the past several days that the couple has called it quits. Their public appearances, on the other hand, had put an end to the rumours.

Raqesh, on the other hand, spoke extensively about his relationship with The Mohabbatein (2000) actress in a recent interview with Hindustan Times, referring to her as a "close friend."

Raqesh Bapat told the Hindustan Times that it all comes down to the energy that two individuals exchange. He said, “We are in a happy zone; she is a dear friend. Friendship has to be so strong that nothing else can affect it. She is a pure soul.” He continued, “I would not name it a relationship. It’s a bond.” He went on to say that Shamita is the woman he admires.

He went on to say that the couple is attempting to establish a balance between their public and private lives. He did, however, assure followers that #Shara (as lovingly called by fans) is still going strong. When asked about marriage, he answered he would rather not pre-empt anything and would rather take things as they come.

Just a few days ago, Shamita and Raqesh were spotted having dinner with Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra. Both of them smiled for the cameras.
