Rani Mehra (Kangana Ranaut) is a cheerful and bubbly desi girl from Delhi who is soon to get married to her fiance Vijay (Rajkummar Rao). However all her excitement and happiness soon turns into a heartbreaking grief Vijay confides her and tells her that he is turning back and is not going to marry her.

Rani is now devastated and doesn\'t know what to do. After living a couple of days in a state of deep grief, she decides to go a trip to Paris. However, she does not know that the trip has a lot in the store for her.

On her arrival she faces challenges and problems out of cultural shock and ignorance, but finally finds a good friend in a hotel staff Vijaya Lakshmi (Lisa Haydon) who helps her to recover and enjoy her time in Paris.

In Amsterdam she meets a trio of roommates who are incredibly friendly and help her calm down from her grief. In the process she also rediscovers herself and finally understands that her life is all about herself.
