‘Judwaa 2’ emerges as the biggest commercially successful film of 2017!

Judwaa 2 has done the unthinkable! Though we all had expected it to do phenomenal business at the box office considering its mass-friendly content and Varun Dhawan’s immense popularity among the audience, no one had thought it would turn out to be the highest grossing film of the year. Yes, Sajid Nadiadwala and Fox Star Studios' comic-caper, Judwaa 2 has now emerged as the highest grossing movie of 2017. The film raked in Rs. 63 lakhs in its fourth weekend taking total earnings to a whopping amount of Rs.137.81 crores. With this, Judwaa 2 has surpassed the lifetime collection of Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees which had netted Rs 137.51crores by the end of its box office run.

Starring Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Tapsee Pannu in lead roles, the film started off on a thunderous note and continued drawing the audience day after day. With Rs. 137.81 crores in its kitty, Judwaa 2 has become the most successful film of Varun Dhawan’s career. It is his second 100 crores blockbuster of 2017 after Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Fox Star Studios have three 100 crores super hits in 2017 with Jolly LL.B 2, Badrinath Ki Dulhania and now, Judwaa 2.

Now, it will be interesting to see whether or not Judwaa 2 touches the mark of Rs. 140 crores.
